Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking a Utilities Technician at our Avon, NY processing facility. You will operate and maintain the plant ammonia/refrigeration systems, steam, compressed air, and related utilities in a fast-paced team environment.

Ideal candidates are safety and quality oriented, willing to work on 3 shifts, with knowledge of refrigeration, steam, and HVAC; ability to wear gas mask/SCBA, and be physically capable of lifting 100 lb. Training during first/second shift is required.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of refrigeration, steam generation, compressed air, and HVAC fields.
• Ability to work first/second/third shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to wear a gas mask and SCBA.
• Capable of lifting 100 lbs., climbing, and other physical demands.
• EPA EPA CFC Certification - Type I & Type II (minimum).
• Steam/Refrigeration License preferred.

Pay

$34 - $38 an hour depending on experience plus:

• $1.25 shift differential for second shift.
• $2.50 shift differential for third shift.
  
  

Work Schedule

3rd shift, Monday through Friday 10pm-6am

OT as needed

Training will take place on 1st and/or 2nd shift so flexibility is needed

Utilities Technician

(Stationary Engineer/HVAC Mechanic/ Ammonia Refrigeration Technician)

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Utilities Technician to work at our processing facility in Avon, NY. Ideal candidates must be safety and quality-orientated and be willing to work in a team-orientated, fast-paced work environment. Under the direction of the Facility Maintenance and Engineering Manager, the Ammonia Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the plant ammonia/refrigeration, compressed air, process steam, steam plant heating, steam condensate, hot/cold water, HVAC, fire protection.

Minimum Qualifications

• This job requires flexibility to work first, second, or third shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have a working knowledge of refrigeration, steam generation, compressed air, and HVAC fields.
• Must be physically capable of wearing a gas mask and self-contained breathing apparatus.
• Must be capable of completing all lifting (100 lbs.), climbing, and other physical demands.
• CFC Certification - Type I & Type II: (Minimum) as defined by EPA.
• Steam/Refrigeration License preferred.
