Job summary

Kraft Heinz Company in Mason City, IA is seeking an Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to monitor and maintain plant utility systems including boilers, ammonia & freon refrigeration, wastewater treatment, and compressed air. You will operate, inspect, and perform preventive maintenance on critical equipment to keep production running safely and efficiently.

The role requires experience with boiler and refrigeration systems, plus familiarity with CMMS and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Preferred: CFC Certification – Type I & Type II (EPA)
• Ammonia Operator 1 Certification preferred
• Experience running boilers, refrigeration, compressed air, and/or waste water systems
• Electrical experience, 240V and below

Responsibilities

• Determine operational/mechanical failures in Utility areas, including boiler operations, waste water, water systems, ammonia and freon refrigeration, and compressed air equipment
• Replace components within the refrigeration system, with safe LOTO procedures and in accordance with PSM program.
• Responsible for helping with maintenance of all systems.
• Familiar with CMMS systems.
• Help plant maintain compliance with all permits.
• Responsible for maintaining all federal, state, and local regulatory compliance parameters as required. (i.e.: wastewater discharge permit, SPCC, SWPPP, air emissions, etc)
