Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking a Utilities Technician to operate, maintain, and monitor the plant ammonia/refrigeration systems, HVAC, and related utilities at the Avon, NY facility. The ideal candidate is safety- and quality-oriented and can thrive in a team-focused, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring reliable plant operation, handling steam and condensate, and supporting the maintenance of cooling and heating systems.

Qualifications

• This job requires flexibility to work first, second, or third shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have a working knowledge of refrigeration, steam generation, compressed air, and HVAC fields.
• Must be physically capable of wearing a gas mask and self-contained breathing apparatus.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 100 lbs., climbing, and other physical demands.
• CFC Certification - Type I & Type II: (Minimum) as defined by EPA.
• Steam/Refrigeration License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe, efficient operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the plant ammonia/refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Oversee compressed air, process steam, steam plant heating, steam condensate, hot/cold water, and fire protection.
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Under supervision of the Facility Maintenance and Engineering Manager, support a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.

Pay

$34 - $38 an hour depending on experience plus:

• $1.25 shift differential for second shift.
• $2.50 shift differential for third shift.

Work Schedule

3rd shift, Monday through Friday 10pm-6amOT as neededTraining will take place on 1st and/or 2nd shift so flexibility is needed

Utilities Technician (Stationary Engineer/HVAC Mechanic/Ammonia Refrigeration Technician)

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Utilities Technician to work at our processing facility in Avon, NY.Ideal candidates must be safety and quality-orientated and be willing to work in a team-orientated, fast-paced work environment.Under the direction of the Facility Maintenance and Engineering Manager, the Ammonia Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the plant ammonia/refrigeration, compressed air, process steam, steam plant heating, steam condensate, hot/cold water, HVAC, fire protection.

Minimum Qualifications

• This job requires flexibility to work first, second, or third shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have a working knowledge of refrigeration, steam generation, compressed air, and HVAC fields.
• Must be physically capable of wearing a gas mask and self-contained breathing apparatus.
• Must be capable of completing all lifting (100 lbs.), climbing, and other physical demands.
• CFC Certification - Type I & Type II: (Minimum) as defined by EPA.
• Steam/Refrigeration License preferred.
