Job summary

Salem Leasing in Greensboro, NC is hiring a Reefer Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel refrigeration systems on vehicles. You will prioritize tasks, coordinate with the service manager, and ensure safety and DOT/OSHA compliance.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, at least 3 years of medium/heavy diesel maintenance, 1 year of 608 Refrigeration experience, own hand tools, CDL, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years recent medium/heavy diesel maintenance experience.
• 1 year of 608 Refrigeration Technician experience.
• Must have own hand tools.
• CDL license required.
• Good driving record and proven work history.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions.
• Review work orders and discuss work with service manager.
• Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined.
• Plan work procedures, using charts, technical manuals, and experience.
• Communicate with driver to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems and comply with safety guidelines.
• Adhere to company rules and regulations.
• Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas.

This person will be responsible to evaluate, prioritize and delegate work amongst the mechanics and washer/fuelers.
