Job summary

Dover Food Retail seeks an HVAC/refrigeration technician to test refrigerated display cases, verify performance, and maintain the test facility. You will braze copper components, interpret piping and electrical schematics, and support installation and commissioning activities.

The role requires 1 year of hands-on HVAC/refrigeration experience, and the ability to work in a production environment with potential exposure to heat, chemicals, and noise. A valid certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED, DEP 608 Level 2 or Universal Certification.
• Able to brazing copper to copper/brass/aluminum or other dissimilar metals.
• Able to read and understand piping and electrical schematics.
• Minimum 1 year experience with installation, servicing or troubleshooting HVAC/refrigeration equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and conduct prescribed performance testing on refrigerated display cases in accordance with defined industry and company standards and practices.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration faults.
• Maintain test facility and equipment; perform preventive maintenance.
• Understand blueprints and schematics and apply to test setups.
