Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Keosauqua, Iowa, is seeking an Assembler II - Refrigeration to fabricate and assemble components for environmental test equipment. You will read blueprints, mount compressors and condensers, and braze tubing to form refrigerant lines, ensuring proper valve adjustments and refrigerant charging.

This is a first-shift, on-site role within the Operations department. The role requires proficiency with hand tools and welding, ability to read measuring instruments, and a commitment

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints or schematic drawings to determine location, size, capacity and type of components.
• Proficient with handheld tools and welding equipment for assembly.
• Capable of cutting, bending and brazing tubing to form refrigerant lines.
• Able to read rulers, tape measures, and other measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints or schematics to determine component placement and type.
• Mount and assemble compressor, condenser, and other parts on frame using hand tools and welding equipment.
• Cut, bend and braze tubing to form liquid and suction lines for refrigerant systems.
• Adjust valves according to specifications and charge system with refrigerant.
• Assemble electrical wiring circuits and controls as needed.
• Maintain clean and safe work area; adapt to changing production needs.
