Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Centerville, IA is seeking an Assembler II - Refrigeration for the 1st shift. You will fabricate and assemble components of refrigeration systems per blueprints and schematics, mounting parts on frames using hand tools and welding equipment.

This hourly, non-exempt role requires reading blueprints, cutting and brazing tubing, adjusting valves, and wiring assembly. A team mindset, quick learning, and safety focus are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints or schematic drawings to determine part placement and requirements.
• Proficient using hand tools and welding equipment.
• Read rulers, tape measures and other measuring devices.
• Read and interpret dimensions and tolerances on drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend blueprints or schematic drawings to determine location, size, capacity and type of components.
• Mount components on frames using hand tools and welding equipment.
• Cut, bend and braze tubing to form liquid and suction lines.
• Adjust valves to specifications and charge the system with refrigerant.
• Read measuring instruments and ensure accurate assembly.
• Work at multiple stations as production needs require.
