Job summary

Dover Corp in Keosauqua, IA, is seeking an Assembler II - Refrigeration to fabricate and assemble components for environmental test equipment according to blueprints.

You will read blueprints, mount and braze tubing, adjust valves, evacuate and charge refrigerant, and perform wiring assembly as needed while maintaining a safe, clean work area and collaborating with the production team.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints or schematics for components placement.
• Must read rulers and measuring devices.
• Adapt to rapidly changing production needs.
• Able to operate hand/power tools and welding equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend blueprints or schematic drawings to determine location, size, capacity and type of components, such as compressor, condenser, expansion valves and tubing or piping needed to build equipment
• Mount compressor, condenser, or other components in specified locations on frame, using hand tools and welding equipment
• Cut, bend, and braze specified tubing to inlets and outlets of components to form liquid and suction lines of refrigeration systems
• Adjust valves according to specifications
• Remove air from system and charges system with specified amount and type of refrigerant
• May assemble and mount electrical wiring circuits, controls, and recording devices
• Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing situations
• Performs any assembly-type function, using hand or power tools
• Utilize appropriate information given on material gauging and dimensioning
• Read rulers, tape measurers, metal squares, and other measuring instruments
• Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners
• Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling
• Work at different workstations as production needs require
• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
• Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual's product line or work cell
• Perform other duties as assigned
