Job summary

Ameristar Casino Resort Spa in Colorado is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to maintain and repair cooling systems across our hospitality, gaming, and food service areas. You will perform preventative maintenance, braze copper pipes, and coordinate with outside contractors as needed.

The ideal candidate has five years of refrigeration experience in hospitality, EPA certification, and proficiency with multimeters. Strong problem solving, confidentiality, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Five years of refrigeration experience in hospitality or related field.
• EPA Certification.
• Knowledge of electrical test instruments and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, install and perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration equipment.
• Braze and solder copper pipe and fittings to repair refrigeration lines.
• Design and implement plans for new installations.
• Coordinate and schedule outside contractors as needed.
• Adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality in all company matters.
• Work as part of a team and assist other Facilities areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, install and perform preventative maintenance on all refrigeration equipment such as walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines and any other refrigeration related equipment.
• Braze and solder copper pipe and fittings to make repairs to refrigeration lines.
• Design and implement plans for new installations.
• Coordinate and schedule outside contractors as needed.
• Adhere to departmental quality standards.
• Follow all safety rules.
• Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all company matters.
• Working as part of a team, you must be willing and able to help out in other areas of the Facilities department when needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of refrigeration experience in hospitality or related field.
• Must be knowledgeable in the use of electrical test instruments such as a multi-meter.
• Must have an EPA Certification.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical trades
• Basic computer skills.
• Must have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
