Job summary

Tyson Foods in Alabama seeks a Maintenance Refrigeration Generalist for 2nd shift to keep refrigeration machinery running and maintain production temperatures. The role includes repairing equipment, troubleshooting ammonia refrigeration systems, boiler and water systems, pneumatics, electrical work, and some welding.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of Refrigeration/HVAC experience or be enrolled in related schooling; background checks may apply.

Qualifications

Minimum of one (1) year Refrigeration/HVAC experience or enrollment in Refrigeration/HVAC training/school.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair refrigeration machinery and equipment to ensure continuous refrigeration and production temperatures.
Troubleshoot problems in day-to-day operation of the refrigeration system, including ammonia refrigeration, boiler, water systems, pneumatics, electrical and general mechanics; welding may be required.
Set up, inspect, adjust, and breakdown machinery and complete daily documentation.
Work in positions requiring long periods of standing on hard surfaces; tolerate extreme environmental temperatures (0 to 115 degrees) indoors and outdoors.
Willingness to complete all required skilled trades training within the designated time period and to follow all safety procedures.
