Job summary

Dart Commercial Services in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking Refrigeration Installer Helpers to assist in installing equipment in new locations. You will support the installer with welding, refrigeration, schematics, and floor layout drawings, and help connect electrical services and verify equipment operation.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and experience with hand tools, mechanical tasks, and the ability to travel to retailer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Mechanical experience preferred and familiarity with hand tools.
• Ability to read schematics and installation manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a stellar safety record and use PPE (gloves, goggles).
• Assist in communicating with management, customers and other technicians on timing and method.
• Assist in fabrication and installation per drawings and specifications.
• Assist in connecting electrical, fuel, water lines and other utilities.
• Assist in testing installed systems and making adjustments as needed.
• Assist with ordering, pickup, delivery and installation of materials.
