Ryder System, Inc. in Broussard, Louisiana is seeking a Refrigeration Diesel Technician to diagnose, overhaul, and repair trucks and trailers focusing on Thermo King and Carrier reefers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certification preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
• Four years or more relevant work experience preferred
• Valid CDL Class A preferred
• All other certifications as required by location

Responsibilities

• Complete SBTIII training within 180 days
• Complete OEM online diagnostic tool courses within 365 days
• Support location fleet mix through OEM courses
• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties including preventive maintenance
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers
• Perform roadside triage with customers to determine best solution
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
• Coach and mentor other technicians on repair procedures
