Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to diagnose, overhaul and repair refrigeration systems on commercial trucks and trailers. You will focus on Carrier and Thermo King equipment and perform maintenance across all refrigeration units at the Frederick, MD facility.

The role requires proficiency with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic test equipment, the ability to read complex schematics, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and timely repairs.

Qualifications

• 6 years practical tractor-trailer maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on refrigeration units and components.
• Test lines, components, and connections using electrical, mechanical and pneumatic test equipment.
• Read complex schematics for refrigeration and A/C equipment.
• Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
• Operate hand and power tools to complete tasks.
• Provide support for preventative maintenance and tractor-trailer upkeep.
• Inspect dimensions and clearances to meet factory specs.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
