Job summary

ColonialWebb in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Refrigeration Engineer to design refrigeration systems for food distribution centers, cold storage, and food processing facilities. You will develop flow diagrams, plans and specifications and perform heat load calculations to determine requirements.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree, EIT/PE (preferred) and about 5 years of industrial refrigeration engineering and design experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering.
• EIT or PE exam (preferred).
• 5 years industrial refrigeration engineering and design experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, materials, standards and codes.
• Strong Excel skills and analytical ability.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design refrigeration systems for food distribution centers, cold storage, and food processing facilities.
• Develop flow diagrams, plans and specifications for refrigeration systems.
• Perform heat load calculations to determine refrigeration requirements.
• Conduct heat transfer and thermodynamic analysis for sizing and selection of equipment.
• Provide leadership and oversight in project layouts and specifications.
