Job summary

Quirch Foods, LLC is hiring a warehouse selector in Houston to pick and prepare orders in a refrigerated facility. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, locate items, and ensure accurate, FIFO-compliant packing for shipping.

The role requires experience in a warehouse, familiarity with scanners, and the ability to work in cold environments. Physical lifting and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Shift is Sunday through Thursday, 5 PM to finish.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for labels, pick lists, scanners, and reports.
• Experience in a warehouse as a selector operating powered equipment.
• CK31 & CK71 scanner familiarity is a plus.
• MHE and SQF certification is preferred.
• Able to work in refrigerated environments (0 to 36 degrees).
• Physically capable of standing, walking, lifting 20–100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow directions to pick product from a pick ticket in a refrigerated/frozen warehouse.
• Operate forklift, electric pallet jack, and related equipment as needed.
• Identify and select cases from inventory locations.
• Pick, palletize, wrap, and scan orders using FIFO.
• Stack product in a specified pallet sequence for shipment.
• Maintain product integrity through proper handling and storage.
• Return undelivered or mis-picked items to inventory locations.
• Move product from storage to shipping area within time constraints.
• Follow all safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
• Observe safe handling techniques and cooperate with supervisors and peers.
• Adhere to attendance policy and complete shifts as scheduled.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on MHE.
• Clean and maintain warehouse as directed by supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
