Comfort Systems USA Mid South is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Mechanic to join our construction team in Montgomery, AL. You will install commercial HVAC equipment, refrigerant piping, controls, and assist with equipment startup on various projects.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently while maintaining high-quality standards our clients expect.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC installation experience.
• Ability to install refrigerant piping systems and related components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, piping schematics and engineering drawings.
• Experience installing basic HVAC controls.
• Working knowledge of commercial HVAC startup procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week with overtime as schedules require.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC equipment including split systems, DX units, package units, ductless systems, heat pumps.
• Install refrigerant piping, supports, insulation, valves, and accessories per specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and control drawings and installation details.
• Perform equipment startup and functional testing.
• Troubleshoot installation and equipment issues.
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, electricians, and other trades.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with OSHA standards.
