Comfort Systems USA Mid South in Birmingham, AL is seeking an HVAC Sheet Metal Apprentice II to join our commercial construction team. Under the guidance of experienced sheet metal mechanics, you will fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal systems including ductwork and HVAC components, reading blueprints and installation details.

Requirements include 1–2 years of commercial HVAC sheet metal experience or related training, ability to read a tape measure, and familiarity with SMACNA

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of commercial HVAC sheet metal experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic measurements.
• Familiarity with SMACNA installation standards preferred.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week with overtime as schedules require.

This position works under the direction of experienced sheet metal mechanics and field leadership while developing advanced installation skills. The Apprentice II assists with fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal systems including ductwork, control boxes, drainpipes, and HVAC equipment components.
