Job summary

Secouniversity is seeking a full-time optometrist for a refractive surgery–focused practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will conduct comprehensive exams, refractions, and pre-/post-operative care for LASIK and other premium procedures, collaborating with experienced surgeons.

Approximately 20 patient encounters daily, with 1–2 days per week in the San Ramon location and hours around 8:30 AM–4:30 PM. This role emphasizes surgical co-management in a specialized setting with staff support.

Qualifications

• OD degree and CA license required.
• Interest in refractive surgery and co-management.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and refractions.
• Perform IOP measurements and dilated exams.
• Gonioscopy, diagnosis, and management of ocular conditions.
• Coordinate care with refractive surgeons for LASIK, ZEISS SMILE, EVO ICL, and premium cataract procedures.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for vision correction.

Education

Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree

Active California optometry license
