Job summary

Flint Hills Resources is seeking a Reliability Engineer for our Pine Bend refinery in Rosemount, MN. You will be part of the Production Area Team, maintaining and improving asset availability while focusing on cost optimization.

Responsibilities include leading complex troubleshooting, planning turnarounds, tracking maintenance spend, and driving process safety through MOC. Some afterhours work may be required during turnarounds and outages.

Qualifications

• 4+ years refining or chemicals experience.
• Experience with refinery equipment maintenance and repair.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems/failures.
• Experience framing opportunities and advancing improvement initiatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with construction coordination and on-site execution.

Responsibilities

• Owns maintenance & reliability of equipment within assigned production area.
• Lead complex critical equipment troubleshooting and repair scope alignment.
• Lead turnaround work scope development for unit equipment, optimizing cost, availability & risk.
• Track and forecast maintenance spending for your area.
• Lead MOC process changes, ensuring hazards are identified and changes documented.
• Oversee, audit, and implement equipment reliability strategies.
• Perform root cause failure analysis and update equipment strategies.
• Act as project manager on reliability and business improvement projects.
• Some afterhours work may be required during turnarounds and outages.
• Able to climb structures and inspect equipment at height and in confined spaces.
