Job summary

Cenovus Energy is seeking a Process Engineer to join our Toledo Refinery. Reporting to the Manager, Process Engineering, you'll serve as the technical advisor for an operating area, providing objective evaluations of process challenges and driving continuous improvements in safety, reliability, and business performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in refining or related process industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support and technical expertise to ensure safe, reliable, and optimal operations.
• Optimize variable costs using energy management and process knowledge.
• Analyze variances between plan and actual performance to close gaps.
• Participate in HAZOPs, LOPAs, and incident investigations.
• Support safety and environmental reporting, including Title V.
• Ensure safe operating limits and respond to recurring SOL/SDL exceedances.
• Lead MOC and PSME gap analyses and oversee turnaround planning and execution.
