Job summary

Chevron is seeking an Operations Trainee in Pascagoula, MS to join the refinery team. You will work outdoors and in processing units, gaining exposure to safety, maintenance, and control-room operations while supporting crude oil refinement to products such as gasoline and jet fuel.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of work experience or an Associate’s/Technical Degree in Process Technology. Relocation is possible; Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of any work experience or an Associate’s/Technical Degree in Process Technology required.
• Military experience is considered as work experience and veterans are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Own personal safety and the safety of others on site.
• Understand refinery policies and operating unit procedures.
• Operate process units and control systems, including valves, pumps, and transfer systems.
• Work in both field and control room to meet production, reliability, and environmental goals.
• Wear appropriate PPE and operate in confined spaces or at heights as needed.
• Develop teamwork and professional relationships across departments and regions.
• Complete the Refinery’s Formal Operator Training Program within 3 years of hire.
