Job summary

Sterling Engineering is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to provide day-to-day support for refinery maintenance and operations. You will work closely with maintenance teams on fixed equipment, piping, storage tanks, and field engineering to keep operations safe and reliable.

The role supports a major turnaround project in 2028. The position blends office planning with on-site field work and requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Experience in day-to-day maintenance engineering, preferably in refinery/industrial facility.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems and storage tanks.
• Experience with fixed equipment engineering and field support.
• Familiarity with PV Elite and CAESAR II.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational, time-management and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering support for refinery maintenance and operational needs.
• Support assigned process units with fixed equipment engineering requirements.
• Perform hands-on engineering work related to piping, storage tanks, and other fixed equipment.
• Assist with maintenance planning, troubleshooting, design reviews, and field engineering support.
• Conduct field inspections and quality checks as needed.
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel and other engineering disciplines to resolve equipment issues.
• Manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing competing demands.
• Provide engineering documentation and technical support as required.
