Kell Services, Kelly Science division, seeks a Laboratory Technician to support lab supervision and chemists in routine and non-routine analyses at a Fortune 500 refinery in Beaumont, TX. The role emphasizes test accuracy, calibration, and data integrity in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a chemistry/biology background with strong attention to detail and safety, plus experience with laboratory instruments and MS Office. This is a long-term contractor position with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science; experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Equivalent technical background in Chemical, Process, or Technical Engineering with lab experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for data recording and reporting.
• Experience in quality control systems within chemical/petrochemical/refinery environments preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine and non-routine laboratory analyses on process and product samples.
• Calibrate and maintain analytical/testing equipment per SOPs.
• Prepare, label and manage samples to ensure traceability and data integrity.
• Use analytical instruments to identify and resolve QA/QC issues.
• Prepare chemical stock solutions, reagents, and standards per requirements.
• Record, verify and report analytical results adhering to QC and safety protocols.
• Support continuous improvement in laboratory practices, safety, and data accuracy.
• Collaborate with supervisors and chemists to troubleshoot analytical issues.
