Job summary

Chevron is seeking an FEI Inspector in Salt Lake, Utah to support safe and reliable operation of refinery fixed equipment through inspection, documentation, and integrity activities.

The role involves coordinating inspections, evaluating results, and communicating recommendations to Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and reliability teams, with a focus on maintaining compliance and asset integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated experience performing fixed equipment inspections in industrial settings is required.
• Working knowledge of fixed equipment inspection principles and industry codes is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate inspection findings and communicate integrity risks with stakeholders is essential.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture and stop work authority when conditions warrant.
• Perform and coordinate inspections of fixed equipment (pressure vessels, piping, tanks, exchangers, furnaces).
• Evaluate inspection results to identify damage mechanisms and integrity concerns.
• Develop clear, technically sound inspection recommendations for Operations, Maintenance and Engineering.
• Support inspection planning for routine operations, shutdowns and turnarounds.
• Maintain inspection records and data in integrity management systems.
• Support RBI, CUI, OSI and other fixed equipment integrity programs.
• Coordinate additional examinations as needed and ensure compliance with codes and procedures.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Reliability and contractors.
