Job summary

Westlake Epoxy is seeking an experienced Mechanical Integrity Inspector to plan and coordinate inspections of fixed equipment, evaluate condition, and maintain RBI and related records. The role also includes coordinating with operations and contractors, supporting turnarounds, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

A strong safety mindset is required. Preferred candidates have API 510/570/653 certifications, extensive MI experience, and a background in ASME standards, with proficiency in PCMS/SAP

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant Mechanical Integrity, fixed equipment inspection, or reliability experience with a bachelor's degree, or 20 years of relevant industry experience without a degree.
• Active API 510, API 570, and API 653 certifications required.
• Experience preparing inspection reports, technical recommendations, and documentation.
• Plan, schedule, and perform inspections of fixed equipment to API/ASME standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and perform inspections of fixed equipment in accordance with API, ASME, and company standards.
• Maintain Mechanical Integrity and RBI data within PCMS/IDMS systems.
• Evaluate inspection results, identify degradation mechanisms, and recommend repairs or corrective actions.
• Coordinate inspection activities with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and third‑party contractors.
• Develop and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), repair scopes, and follow‑up actions.
• Support turnarounds, outages, and major inspection campaigns.
• Ensure Mechanical Integrity documentation and corrosion monitoring records remain current.
• Promote compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve Mechanical Integrity processes and equipment reliability.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or related field preferred
