Marathon Petroleum Company LP is seeking an Area Inspector for our Salt Lake City refinery. The role focuses on maintaining mechanical integrity of process equipment and piping, executing inspection plans, and recommending corrective actions to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The Inspector collaborates with various refinery teams, conducts data analysis, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. Relocation is included, and API 510/570 certifications are preferred for advancement.

Competenze

• Two or more years of inspection experience in fixed equipment, reliability, and maintenance.
• Ability to work Monday–Thursday 10-hour shifts, on-call weekends, and support TAR/shutdowns.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without visa sponsorship.
• Preferred: five or more years of inspection experience.
• API 510 and API 570 certifications completed.

Mansioni

• Develops and executes inspection plans/life cycle management for refinery equipment based on service, condition, and regulations.
• Documents inspections in IDMS and applies PSM/RAGAGEP requirements.
• Reviews MOC requirements and ensures PSM elements are implemented.
• Coordinates inspection needs for projects with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance.
• May lead continuous improvement in inspection programs.
