Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring for a Referral Representative I in Houston, TX, working Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with rotational weekends. The role handles all referrals, coordinates testing, and resolves complex customer issues within a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Responsibilities include processing specimens, ensuring quality, following CLIA/HIPAA guidelines, and maintaining clear communication with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Customer service and/or medical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle all internal and external customer contact regarding Referral Testing.
• Receive, resolve and follow up with complex customer issues.
• Act as a liaison between internal and external customers and Referral vendors.
• Retrieve, sort and process specimens for shipment to referral laboratories.
• Ensure sample quality and accuracy; identify problems with specimen types and information.
• Prepare specimens and packages for shipment according to IATA regulations.
