Join a leading healthcare organization as a Referral Service Representative, where you'll coordinate referrals and provide exceptional service to patients and providers. This role requires strong customer service skills and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in customer service, preferably in healthcare, and a background in medical office training.
JOB SUMMARY
The Referral Service Representative coordinates incoming and external referrals throughout the organization. This role assures accurate and timely entry into the organization for the purpose of referral services. The Referral Service Representative gathers and correctly analyzes multiple pieces of data to accurately process referral efforts while providing excellent service to patients, providers, external facilities, and the organization.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: None
Preferred/Optional: Graduate of a vocational technical Health Unit Coordinator, Medical Office Secretary, Medical Office Specialist or equivalent program. Successful completion of a medical terminology and an anatomy & physiology course at time of hire.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: One year experience work in customer service. Demonstrated proficiency with typing and keyboard skills. Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred/Optional: One year experience work in customer service within a healthcare or health insurance industry. Demonstrated proficiency with knowledge of anatomy & physiology.

This position can work remote from a Marshfield Clinic Health System service area. Training may be a mix of remote and onsite.
