Job summary

CHI Mercy Health is seeking a Referrals Coordinator to manage the referral process and support continuity of patient care from primary to tertiary needs. Each day, you will represent CHI Mercy Medical by providing patients with appointments, information and other operational support.

You will deliver a high level of customer service in line with CHI Mercy Medical’s mission and service standards, coordinating with imaging and care teams and maintaining accurate scheduling and referral records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience with medical terminology, imaging background, and scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

• Answering incoming requests from patients or referring provider's offices based on their needs.
• Regulating all stat add-ons for entire imaging department.
• Communicates efficiently and effectively with the external and internal clinical care team.
• Works closely with technologists, radiologists, and imaging leadership to maintain schedule times.
• Maintains weekly data regarding next available, waitlists, pending, no-shows, and stats.
• Maintains up-to-date records regarding patient appointments, office documents, insurance coverage, and incoming referrals.
