Concentra is seeking a Referral Management Coordinator in Texas to process referrals and authorizations, collaborating with physicians, employers and payors to deliver timely patient care and value-based outcomes.

You will handle daily referral tasks, obtain authorizations, maintain records, and communicate with stakeholders while upholding HIPAA protections and accuracy in a fast-paced medical environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical environment (referrals, claims, billing).
• Experience with scheduling and insurance verification software; HIPAA/PHI awareness.

Responsibilities

• First point of escalation for case-related issues requiring guidance.
• Daily completion of assigned referrals while meeting production requirements.
• Reviews, processes and supports specialist referral requests across Concentra sites.
• Obtains authorization for specialist referrals and schedules appointments.
• Ensures appropriate networks and Concentra specialists are used when applicable.
• Provides required information (medical records, prescriptions) to payor.
• Communicates with payor, employer and patient as appropriate.
• Records information via OA/CR module of OccuSource per policy.
• Builds relationships with provider, employer and payor communities.
