The position is full-time, onsite, Monday to Friday, with a pay range of $23.00–$26.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience with referrals and prior authorizations.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and records management.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Process and coordinate internal and external referrals to specialty providers.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as required.
• Submit referral requests to health plans, IPAs, or specialty offices and track status updates.
• Ensure all supporting documentation such as chart notes, labs, and imaging is complete and attached.
• Communicate referral status to patients, providers, and specialty offices.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Follow up on pending referrals to meet turnaround times and ensure completion.
• Collaborate with front office, back office, and providers to support patient care coordination.
