Job summary

Eagle Physicians & Associates is seeking a Referral Coordinator for Eagle Wellness & Weight Management in Greensboro, NC. This on-site role supports referrals, scheduling, and documentation to ensure high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of medical office experience, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of medical office experience required.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and standard office software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process patient referrals to ensure timely continuity of care.
• Work with providers to ensure referrals meet patient needs and insurance requirements.
• Complete referral documentation and obtain authorizations.
• Coordinate with specialty offices to schedule referrals and facilitate patient care.
• Forward medical records and test results to receiving specialists or facilities.
• Monitor referral status and follow up to ensure timely communication.
• Maintain documentation of referral activities in the EMR system.
• Communicate with patients regarding referral processes and scheduling.
• Collaborate with providers, staff, and insurers to resolve referral issues.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and protect PHI.
