Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a dedicated Referral Coordinator to prepare and process managed care referral paperwork, register patients for exams, and coordinate external referrals with specialists.

The role requires at least 1–3 years of healthcare experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems, and strong communication skills. It is an onsite, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek and a salary range of $40,000–$52,300 per year.

Qualifications

• Referral experience is mandatory.
• 1-3 years of hands-on healthcare experience in a clinical setting, preferably within the Medicare population.
• Proficient with medical terminology.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
• Excellent professional communication abilities, at all levels within the organization and with patients, at all times.

Required Qualifications

• Referral experience is MANDATORY

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration
• Knowledge of ICD 10 and CPT coding
• Medical Assistant or Professional State Certifications related to healthcare
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM

Local travel may be required; Mileage is reimbursed

This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$40,000 - $52,300 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
