QuarterLine, a PSI company, seeks a Referral Management Center Specialist to support patients and staff at a Military Treatment Facility. You will handle referrals, schedule appointments, and educate patients on procedures while safeguarding confidentiality.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation in MHS GENESIS, adherence to timelines, and professional service in a healthcare setting. US citizenship and a valid background are required.

Qualifications

• US Citizen.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• One year of administrative experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency and keyboarding sufficient to sustain EHR workflow.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Ability to obtain and maintain background investigation, a CAC, and MTF badge and access.
• Basic Life Support certification where required by the MTF, plus HIPAA training.

Responsibilities

QuarterLine (QL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Referral Management Center Specialist to support our healthcare team at a Military Treatment Facility (MTF). The ideal candidate will provide professional customer service while assisting patients and staff with referral and appointment coordination.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and assist patients and staff with referral-related questions.
• Review and process referrals for completeness and eligibility.
• Schedule and reschedule specialty appointments according to MTF guidelines.
• Process routine, urgent, and emergent referrals within establishedtimeframes.
• Coordinate referrals with outside providers or insurance when services are not available at the MTF.
• Maintainaccuratereferral documentation in MHS GENESIS and other required systems.
• Educate patients on referral procedures, appointments, and expected timelines.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service whilemaintainingpatient confidentiality.

Minimum Requirements

• US Citizen.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• One (1) year of administrative experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting. Referral management, medical scheduling, patient administration, or insurance verification preferred.
• Demonstrated computerproficiencyand keyboarding sufficient to sustain electronic health record workflow.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Ability to obtain andmaintaina favorable background investigation, a Common Access Card, and MTF-specific badge and system access.
• Current Basic Life Support certification(AHA or Red Cross)where required by the supported MTF, plus HIPAA, Privacy Act, information assurance, and MTF-directed initial and annual training.
