Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Referral Navigator in Las Vegas, NV to process referrals from primary care providers for specialist care through internal and external networks. The role involves building, submitting, and scheduling referrals, ensuring all required documents are present, and communicating for additional information as needed.

The position is largely computer-based with substantial phone work. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
• CPR certified or able to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
• 2+ years of experience working in a health-related field.

Responsibilities

• Build new referrals from network providers and internal sources.
• Review all necessary documents and information for referrals.
• Send back documents for additional information as needed.
• Cancel referrals that do not meet criteria or lack information within a set time frame.
• Accept referrals and determine outsourcing or overflow eligibility.
• Perform desk-based work with substantial phone and paperwork duties.
