Job summary

North Shore Community Health (NSCH) seeks an experienced Referral Operations Manager to oversee referral processing, insurance verification, and care coordination. You will lead a team, track KPIs, and build referral networks across the North Shore region while maintaining compliance with accreditation standards.

You will coach staff, collaborate with clinical and operational leadership, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Minimum of five (5) years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and managed healthcare.
• English/Spanish bilingual ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages Referral Coordinators to verify appointments, process referrals, and schedule new patients.
• Track data on outgoing referrals and optimize care coordination workflows.
• Identify issues with insurance verification and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop new referral networks and partner relations regionally and beyond.
• Coach Referral Coordinators and ensure staff have tools and training to perform.
