Job summary

Oak Street Medical Primary Care, part of Praxis Health, is seeking a Referral and Authorization Specialist to support our growing team. Training will be provided; a background in insurance helps, but fast learners can succeed. Schedule: Monday—Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

You will obtain prior authorizations, process referrals, enter data, and assist with patient communications and scheduling. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, familiarity with EMR systems, and a willingness to

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Background in insurance authorization and scheduling.
• Minimum two years in a medical office setting with extensive customer service.

Responsibilities

• Obtain prior authorizations and referrals.
• Input data into Intergy and maintain patient records.
• Handle clerical duties and correspondence related to clinical service.
• Answer calls, take messages, and provide information to patients and staff.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals with providers.
