Qualifications

• 2 years' experience as a Referral Authorization Coordinator, with insurance verification experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Demonstrates integrity and maintains confidentiality.
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and situations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years' related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify registration and insurance information.
• Perform eligibility checks by phone or electronically.
• Process referrals for assigned cost centers.
• Obtain authorizations and ensure proper processing.
• Support clinicians and patients with synchronized authorizations.
• Communicate with facilities and clinicians to ensure referrals.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Complete administrative functions related to referrals.
• Monitor referral reports not received and follow up.
• Interact with coworkers, referral sources, office staff, and clinicians.
• Handle faxing, scanning, and copying; ensure compliance.
• Meet daily, monthly, quarterly metrics.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
