Uvalde Memorial Hospital, part of UVALDE COUNTY HOSPITAL AUTHORITY, seeks a Referral and Authorization Coordinator to streamline referrals and authorizations for procedures and appointments. You will coordinate with patients, providers, insurance companies, and outside specialists to ensure timely care.

• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Experience with referrals, insurance verification, and prior authorizations preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and electronic healthcare systems.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate referrals and insurance authorizations for procedures, specialist visits, and diagnostic services.
• Schedule appointments with Uvalde Memorial Hospital providers and outside specialists.
• Keep patients informed throughout the referral and authorization process while providing clear appointment instructions and follow-up information.
• Obtain insurance authorizations promptly, prioritizing urgent requests to prevent delays in care.
• Communicate and collaborate with providers, insurance companies, outside facilities, and clinic staff to ensure timely coordination of services.
• Maintain accurate documentation of referrals, authorizations, and patient communications.
