Job summary

Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ seeks a reference librarian to support students, faculty, staff and the public with research assistance and information services.

The successful candidate will provide general reference in a library setting, handle face-to-face and virtual reference modalities, work autonomously, and contribute to a collaborative academic environment at the college.

Experience at a community college is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library Science or equivalent from an ALA-accredited library school is required.
• 2 years of public service experience (in any field) with reference experience in a library, preferably in an academic environment.
