The Tinley Park Public Library is seeking an energetic, service-oriented individual to join our Adult Services team. The role focuses on reference services, readers’ advisory, and technology assistance, with potential technology class instruction.

This part-time position offers fixed evening and weekend hours, along with vacation and sick leave, paid holidays, and access to employee assistance programs plus optional benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 years library experience preferred.
• Proficient in using and assisting patrons with current technologies such as web and database searching and social media.
• Proficiency with iOS and Android devices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technology assistance to patrons and teach technology classes when needed.

The Tinley Park Public library is seeking an energetic, positive, and service-oriented individual to join our Adult Services team. We're looking for a proactive person who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adapts easily to change, and is comfortable with technology.

Responsibilities:

Primary duties include providing friendly, professional reference services, readers’ advisory, and technology assistance. Additionally, this position may teach technology classes.

Job Hours:

Part-time position with fixed working hours as follows:

• Monday: 5-9 pm
• Thursday: 9 am-1 pm
• Friday: 9 am-5 pm
• Weekend rotation of two (2) Saturdays and one (1) Sunday per month:
  • Saturday: 9 am-5 pm
  • Sunday: 11:45 am-5 pm
