Job summary

Fortune Society is seeking a Social Worker to support the RISE program with pre- and post-release services in Long Island City and NYC jails. The role focuses on destigmatizing mental health and substance use treatment through psychoeducation, brief clinical interventions, and referrals for additional support.

The ideal candidate will have a MSW, at least two years with justice-involved clients, and strong group facilitation and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Master's in Social Work required.
• Experience with justice-involved clients preferred.
• At least 2 years in group and individual sessions.
• Proficiency with MS Office; Word, Outlook, Excel.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview participants in the RISE program and coordinate activities.
• Collaborate with DOC staff to identify high-need participants.
• Provide brief interventions and crisis support as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and reports in Fortune systems.
• Facilitate wellness groups in community and Rikers Island.
• Support referrals to community-based organizations.
