The Willow Center in Brownsburg, IN is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach to support individuals with substance use and mental health challenges. You will work in jail and outpatient settings, providing coaching, skills-building, and reentry planning to promote long-term recovery.

Requirements include 2+ years in the field, CAPRC-I/II, CPRS, CPRC, or CRS certification, and a strong trauma-informed approach. This role emphasizes collaboration with staff, families, and external providers.

Formación

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health, substance use treatment, or peer recovery support (preferably with justice-involved populations).
• Active certification required: CAPRC-I, CAPRC-II, CPRS, CPRC, or CRS.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Comfortable working with individuals impacted by complex trauma and criminal justice involvement.
• Familiarity with the criminal justice system and reentry challenges.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• CPR and First Aid certified or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in both individual and group settings.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, structured environment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide individual and group recovery coaching within the Hendricks County Jail for individuals nearing release.
• Deliver coaching and skills development at the Brownsburg outpatient office for clients in substance use disorder treatment.
• Support clients experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges.
• Assist clients in preparing for successful reentry, including referrals and linkage to ongoing outpatient services.
• Communicate effectively with clients, correctional staff, clinicians, families, and external providers.
• Facilitate a supportive, respectful, and trauma-informed environment for all clients.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records systems.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all confidentiality requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support program success.
