Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety's Franklin Correctional Center in Bunn, NC is seeking a Correctional Case Manager (S) to oversee offender caseloads, provide counseling, complete assessments, and develop case plans under the supervision of the Correctional Programs Supervisor.

The role focuses on coordinating rehabilitation programs, transition planning for parole, and supporting inmates through education, work assignments, and re-entry services at a medium custody facility.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Human Services, Recreation or related field, or GED + two years custody experience.
• Must be eligible for certification by the NC CJ Education & Training Standards Commission.
• Knowledge of case management practices or counseling/interviewing for intake assessments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an offender caseload with supportive counseling, assessments, case plans, and follow-up.
• Assist in coordinating rehabilitation programs and transition planning for inmates.
• Plan and coordinate re-entry prior to parole or release into the community.
