Missouri Department of Corrections is seeking a dedicated professional to assist offenders in preparing for employment prior to release, including counseling, placement, and programming. You will work with the DORS team at institutions, collaborating closely with classification staff and parole officers.
The role involves facilitating employability programs, assessing barriers to employment, and coordinating with state agencies and employers to support successful reentry into the community.

This position may be required to work alternative hours to include one evening a week and/or one weekend day a month to ensure all clients have access to services but will not exceed 40 hours a week.
Minimum Qualifications:
Four or more years of technical or professional experience in social services, education, workforce development, probation and parole casework, corrections casework or custody (at the level of Correctional Lieutenant or above), guidance and counseling, mental health, health, substance use, law enforcement, public or business administration, or experience closely related to the above listed responsibilities.
(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the listed experience at a rate of 30 earned credit hours for one year)

The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years! If you are transferring from another State of Missouri agency and are receiving state retention pay, please be advised that the Missouri Department of Corrections administers retention based upon your retention anniversary date. As a result, your retention pay upon transfer may differ from what you were receiving at your previous agency until you reach your applicable retention anniversary date.
