Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky's Department of Corrections is seeking a Reentry Coordinator to plan and coordinate prerelease services for offenders in the Sandy Hook area, including home placement, transportation for medical appointments, and approved programming.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of professional experience in corrections or related fields, with strong communication, planning, and teamwork skills for a full-time executive-branch role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Two years of professional experience in corrections, law enforcement, probation or related field.
  • Substitute education for experience as allowed by policy.
  • Must be 21 years of age and maintain required licensure/certifications.
  • Travel may be required; office setting with ACA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate prerelease services such as home placement, transportation for medical appointments, and approved programming for reentry.
  • Assist with program and treatment plans related to risk and needs assessment of offenders.
  • Enhance community involvement by connecting offenders with providers that will assist them upon release.
  • Host prerelease events to provide resources and services for offenders at time of release.
  • Attend and participate in local reentry councils; prepare monthly reports; maintain files per ACA standards.
