Job summary

Center Point, Inc. in San Pablo, CA, seeks a compassionate Community Navigator / Job Developer for a new Contra Costa County Day Reporting Center serving adults on parole.

The role connects participants to employment, education, housing, and behavioral health resources to support reintegration and stability. The position will assess needs, set vocational goals, deliver job-readiness services, and build partnerships with employers and educational institutions to expand opportunities for

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree or equivalent and 2+ years in workforce development, employment services, case management, or related services for justice-involved populations; OR
• 4+ years of experience in employment services, vocational support, community navigation for justice-involved populations.
• Experience with adult parole populations preferred; knowledge of workforce development and community resources.
• Ability to build partnerships with employers and service providers; strong organization and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; DOJ Live Scan clearance; CA driver’s license with clean record; TB/CPR certification or to obtain on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess participants to determine employment, vocational training, and CTE needs.
• Help participants develop occupational, educational, and reintegration goals.
• Provide job readiness services: resume writing, mock interviews, communication skills, and workplace expectations.
• Connect participants with employers, programs, and community resources.
• Develop and maintain a network of community providers and referrals for reintegration.
• Assist with identification documents, employment eligibility, and public benefits.
• Support record expungement information and Certificates of Rehabilitation.
• Maintain participant progress and service engagement through documentation and follow-ups.
• Collaborate with employers, behavioral health, housing providers, and government agencies.
