Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Reefer Technician to repair and maintain the reefer units at our Martin Brower facility in McCook, IL. This full-time role offers a Monday-Thursday schedule from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM with 4/10s and competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, overhauling, testing and repairing truck/trailer refrigeration systems, interpreting schematics, and ensuring work meets factory specifications.

Qualifications

• High School Education or GED with 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Preferred Technical School certification.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, overhaul, adjust, and repair motor trucks and trailer equipment.
• Test lines, components, and connections using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic test equipment.
• Interpret complex schematics associated with refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, identify warrantable repairs, and document them on the repair order.
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions and support preventative maintenance.
• Inspect dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications.
• Use hand tools and power tools.
• Other duties as assigned.
