Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions in Thornton, CO is hiring a skilled Refrigeration Technician/Mechanic (Trailer Reefer Units). You will perform repairs and preventive maintenance on Thermo King and Carrier reefer units, diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, and ensure safe, compliant operation of fleet refrigeration systems.

Candidates require 3+ years experience, EPA 608 Certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

3+ years’ hands-on experience with reefer units and trailer refrigeration systems.
EPA 608 Certification required.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (including DOT if required).

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and maintenance on Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration units.
Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical issues on trailer reefer units.
Complete preventive maintenance (PMs) and service on A/C and refrigeration systems.
Conduct DOT inspections and trailer repairs when reefer units are in working condition.
Ensure vehicles and refrigeration units meet safety and compliance standards.
Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations.
