Job summary

Sonsray Connect & Grow in Fontana, CA is seeking a Shop Reefer Technician to support transport refrigeration units in a fast-paced shop. You will diagnose, repair and service Thermo King equipment on trailers, trucks, APUs and V-series units, ensuring reliability and quality workmanship.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, proficiency with scanners and meters, and the ability to perform preventive maintenance and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience diagnosing and repairing Thermo King Carrier APUs, gensets and V-series units.
• Skilled with diagnostic tools, scanners and multi meters for diagnostics.
• EPA 608/609 certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and test Thermo King refrigeration units in shop.
• Address freon leaks; soldering and component replacement.
• Perform preventive maintenance and unit installations.
• Maintain shop records, estimates and service documentation.
• Install Thermo King units on trailers, trucks, APUs.

Job Title Reefer Shop Technician Location Fontana CA Job Type Full Time Schedule Monday Friday 1030am to 7pm Salary Range 2709 To 4599 depending on experience Position Summary The Shop Reefer Technician is responsible for supporting the reliability and performance of transport refrigeration equipment while delivering quality workmanship and exceptional customer service in a fast paced shop environment

Responsibilities

• Diagnosis & Repair Troubleshoot diagnose and repair components of truck trailer V series refrigeration units gensets and APUsIdentify and repair failures including removing replacing and testing components with a multi meterAddress freon leaks which involves assembling installing parts soldering and utilizing specialized refrigeration equipment
• Maintenance & Installation Perform preventive maintenance component replacement and service of refrigeration equipmentMaintain transport refrigeration systems on trucks trailers APUs V series units gensets and buses using scanners electronic test equipment and onboard computers for diagnosticsInstall new Thermo King units on trailers trucks V series units and APUs as required
• Documentation & Communication Maintain accurate records of transport refrigeration unit services on trucks trailers APUs and gensets by reviewing shop orders and preparing estimatesDocument the details of repairs needed or completed
• General Duties Perform other duties and functions as directed by management to support the dealerships objectives
